  18.    Triton is a standard Amiga shared runtime library.  Triton makes it
  19. much easier to create good looking graphical user interfaces (GUIs) than
  20. GadTools, BOOPSI or other systems.
  21.  
  22.    The most important features are:
  23.  
  24.    * Object oriented system
  25.    * Automatically font sensitive, font adaptive
  26.    * Automatic keyboard shortcuts for default window actions
  27.    * *Really* easy to use
  28.    * Beautiful customizable AmigaOS3.x look
  29.    * Comes as a freely distributable shared library
  30.    * Size! Though Triton is very powerful, it is a shared library of
  31.      less than 50KB. You don't need any startup tools, BOOPSI classes
  32.      or other things. It's the Triton among the minnows of GUI creation
  33.      systems ;)
  34.    * Resizability of windows wherever applicable
  35.    * A Preferences editor which allows you to customize the look and
  36.      feel of all Triton GUIs
  37.  
  38.    By using Triton you don't have to worry about otherwise very
  39. time-consuming things like font-sensitivity and resizability of your
  40. windows.
  41.  
  42.    This user archive is needed by users and developers alike. A separate
  43. archive named 'tri12dev.lha' is required by developers only.
  44.  
  45.     Changes since release 1.1:
  46.  
  47.     Buttons with a <Return> shortcut can now be displayed with a
  48.       NeXT-style <Return> arrow image instead of bold text.
  49.     Smart/Simple refresh is now to be chosen by the user and not the
  50.       application programmer. Therefore TRWF_SIMPLEREFRESH is obsolete.
  51.     In addition to the 'Pens' page in the Preferences editor, an 'Images'
  52.       page has been added.
  53.     Documentation rewritten in Texinfo.
  54.     Bug fixed: The Preferences editor didn't save the screen manager
  55.       prefs when installing the preferences system from scratch.
  56.     Bug fixed: After resizing a window, the contents of string gadgets
  57.       were lost.
  58.     Distribution archive restructured. Now 2 archives are distributed,
  59.       one for both, developers and users and one for developers only.
  60.     Frameboxes didn't inherit their parents' backfill pattern.
  61.     Bug fixed: The support for fixed-width fonts in Listview gadgets was
  62.       broken in Triton 1.1.
  63.     Font fallback bugs (refreshing of GadTools objects) fixed.
  64.     Triton is now SysIHack compatible.
  65.     Vertical scrollers and sliders are now a bit wider.
